💙 Tomorrow: Rewilding the Temple — Gemini new moon, blue tansy, still time to join

Tomorrow is the Gemini new moon ceremony for Rewilding the Temple — and there's still time to join us.

Every month, this gathering follows the lunar cycle: a seasonal teaching, rewilding practices, a sacred anointing, and community connection in a 90-minute live ceremony. A plant ally leads the way.

This month, we meet blue tansy.

Blue tansy has a bright yellow flower that becomes a deep, stunning blue oil through steam distillation — the alchemical process revealing what was always inside. As medicine, this ally is playful, fluid, and exactly what we need for navigating the kind of duality and paradox Gemini specializes in. Mercury rules this sign, which means we're working with multiplicity, trickster energy, and the ability to play!

We'll dig into the astrology of this new moon and set intentions for the lunar cycle to come, do a deep dive into blue tansy's medicine, and move through a healing anointing practice together. There will be time for reflection, community, and conversation after.

The replay will be up within 24 hours if you can't make it live.

Two ways to join:

A Paid Substack subscription — these monthly ceremonies are included in your paid membership (which is only $5!) to The Mythoanimist Path. The price goes up in September, and if you join now, you’ll be grandfathered into the current rate.

One-time pass — join us at a sliding scale with no ongoing commitment :)

NOTE: You don't need the oil to receive this practice. We’ll work with specific acupoints — sacred touch and intention on those points is transformational on its own. And if a different oil is calling to you, bring that instead. The invitation is always to make these monthly gatherings your own.

Psst: In my last email, I shared the inner division I sometimes feel between working with wild local plants and luxurious blossoms from around the world...between running through the forest and meditating in a temple filled with sacred art.

If you missed it, here it is again. You'll see the results when you answer!

Hope to see you tomorrow,

Still here? Wow - you deserve a present :) A tiny secret for you before you go:

There’s a beautiful calming point in the ear located just behind the little cartilage fold at the front of the upper ear. Hold it gently on both sides for one minute and take a slow breath. It’s especially lovely with a drop of anointing oil. ;)

This weekend, I was lucky enough to head to the wild PNW coast for solstice. Living in the dry, high desert (which I also love), it is always a balm for my soul to walk through lush coastal forests. And at this time of year, everything is blooming and the first berries - salmonberries and red huckleberries - are already ripe. Love. I've been walking these trails for decades. Singing, leaving offerings, and making medicine with the land. These forests have been generous. And this year, a new...

In the archetypal language of the Zodiac, Cancer is the great nourisher, often looked at as embodying the energy of the Divine Mother — she who tends her family and home with protective, unconditional love. Yet this year, our solstice and transition into Cancer Season falls on Father’s Day — June 21. At the solstice, the sun stands directly overhead as it enters the sign of Cancer. The solar principle — classically masculine, paternal, and the source of authority and light — arrives at the...

Oh the blooms of spring and summer. I’ve been adding more flowers to my garden ever since we moved into our house a few year ago, and this year has been a delight. Tons of purple irises and a few gorgeous pink peonies. Wildflowers that can actually thrive in our sandy, cold high desert climate. A wall of rhododendrons that ranges from neon pink to dark purple. Humans love flowers. I think part of us recognizes that these ephemeral blossoms do more than offer seasonal delights — they transform...
